Testosterone
OBJECTIVE:
Evaluation of the in vitro percutaneous permeation enhancement of a testosterone gel containing 8% PET™. Permeation results are compared to an experimental control (testosterone gel without PET™).
PARAMETERS:
Percutaneous permeation of gel preparations were tested and measured in the in vitro Franz skin diffusion cells over a 25-hour time period.
RESULTS:
The 8% PET™ containing testosterone gel showed over a 5-fold greater permeation of testosterone into the in vitro skin than the preparation without PET™.
